On 4 November 2023, the School of European Languages under Olena Nazarenko and Antonina Chepeliuk hospitably welcomed visitors to improve their spoken English and German skills. This year, there were many SumDU students who decided to raise their speaking abilities.
On November 3, 2023, the German edition Südwest Presse published a material about the work of twenty-fourth Summer School "Language, communication and identity of the Danube region", which was attended by the representatives of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU.
Zombies, witches, vampires, and other heroes of horror films recently visited the Faculty FPSC of SumDU; after all, the students of the #the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy celebrated Halloween.
On November 1, the Faculty FPSC of SumDU welcomed applicants at the Open Day. During the event, prospective students had the opportunity to talk to representatives of graduate departments, as well as to complete assignments from various specialties and receive credits.
On the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language, the lecturers of the Department of Journalism and Philology (Iryna ZHYLENKO, Olena ISHCHENKO, Nataliia PONOMARENKO) together with the first-year students of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU (journalists and philologists-translators) held the meeting of the "Language Circle" club, which has been active for almost a year at regional universal scientific library. The event was held under the slogan: "Everyone speaking Ukrainian brings victory closer!".
The Faculty FPSC of SumDU participated in writing the Radio Dictation of National Unity, traditionally held on the Day of Ukrainian Writing and Language. This year, the holiday was celebrated on October 27th for the first time.
Representatives of Faculty FPSC of SumDU took part in the work of the twenty-fourth Summer School “Language, Communication and Identity of the Danube Region”, which took place in Ulm, Germany.
On the occasion of Advertising Worker Day, traditionally celebrated on the 23rd of October, lecturers of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU gave a guest binary lecture to students of Sumy Vocational College of Economics and Trade.
The Faculty FPSC of SumDU representatives have participated in career guidance events organized by the Center of extramural, distance, and evening forms of education of Sumy State University.
Daryna SHCHERBAK and Anastasiia NYKONENKO, students of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, have been awarded academic scholarships for the 1st semester of the 2023/24 academic year. They shared their way to success and their impressions of receiving these scholarships.
Oleksandra Pavliv, a philology student at the Faculty FPSC of SumDU, participated in a research internship under the Mitacs programme at the University of Moncton, New Brunswick, Canada.
