Yuliia Ishchenko, a student majoring in "Philology" at the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, took part in the All-Ukrainian Literary Competition named after Olena Teliha and Oleh Olzhych "Only those can win who can laugh in pain!".

The State Committee for Television and Radio Broadcasting of Ukraine, the Organization of Ukrainian Nationalists, and the Women's Society, named after Olha Basarab and Olena Teliha, support the competition. A total of 283 works were submitted to the competition, and they determined the winners in five nominations.

In the nomination "Translation of Olena Teliha's and Oleh Olzhych's poetry into foreign languages," in which our student was nominated, the jury decided not to determine the winners and to limit itself to incentive awards.

As noted by the chairman of the jury, Doctor of Philology, literary critic, poet, Shevchenko Prize winner, professor Yuriі Kovaliv, this year's All-Ukrainian competition took place in the extreme circumstances of the Russian-Ukrainian war, when Ukraine, in its motivated resistance to the Moscow occupier, is fighting for the right to be a full-fledged subject of its existence. Therefore, the works submitted to the competition "concentrate the quintessence of the nation's will, human life on the brink, in intense trials and suffering, and reflect faith in historical justice."

For her participation in the literary competition, Yuliia Ishchenko received a certificate, but most importantly, she gained experience and the opportunity to demonstrate her talent and skills.

The Faculty FPSC, SumDU, congratulates Yuliia Ishchenko and wishes her creative inspiration and conquest of new peaks.
