For six years, the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, has been awarding active and concerned participants in socially valuable activities of their hometown of Sumy with symbolic "palms". The ceremony of awarding the honour "Sumy State University Social OSCAR - 2022" was held on February 2 in the University Mirror Hall.

Projects aimed at helping people consolidate and bring together strong personalities from various fields of activity. Each laureate works on their front and "scales down this cliff" with all their might, bringing the joint victory closer with each blow.

Andriana Kostenko, head of the Center for Social Research, SumDU, presented the results of a survey that demonstrates the level of public trust in civic activists:

- You are the ones who build trust! Twenty-four percent of polled said they expect help from civic activists and volunteers. This figure rose dramatically over the past ten months - it has doubled!" stressed Andriana Kostenko.

This year's winners of the Social OSCAR are:

For the model of social partnership development - the First Sumy Humanitarian Center;

For innovation, efficiency, and speed of response amid critical restrictions - Andrii Mishenin;

For the commitment to the principle of "leaving no one behind" of the Sustainable Development Goals - the Sumy Local Territorial Center for Social Services "Berehynia";

For Socially Responsible Business - "Ridne Misto" - a network of food establishments;

Modern media - Vladyslav Mykhailenko and Andrii Selskyi (Telegram channel SUMYLIKE TG).

Nina Svitailo, Head of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies, shared her impressions of the process of determining the winners in an emotional speech:

- The war caused such forms of activities that we just didn't expect - we didn't expect such a scale, such a multiplication... That's why it was challenging to determine the nominees. We would like to see such new forms of work spread, develop, and persist. And today, our task is to show others how important it is to maintain a high level of activity and optimism by the example of those in this audience.

The family of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, is incredibly proud of its selfless friends who, with a life-giving sparkle in their eyes, demonstrate an example of helping their neighbors every year. These people demonstrate to our youth the importance of the desire to be helpful to their native land and bring us closer to victory step by step!
