In the traditional contest «Pedagogical Innovations», annually organized by Sumy State University, representatives of the Faculty FPSC won awarding places in five nominations.

In the nomination «Contact Learning», the third place was taken by the project «Implementation of the language hub-laboratory «Ukr.Lang.Laboratory for foreign students» in the social network Facebook in the lessons of Ukrainian as a foreign language», presented by the Department of Language Training of Foreign Citizens lecturer, Inna Levenok, and the Head of the Department, Olha Sydorenko.

In the nomination «Students' self-work», the first place was taken by Senior Lecturer of the Foreign Languages Department Svitlana Mikhno with the project «Method of lexico-grammatical video-projects as a means of activating cognitive and creative independence of students in foreign language classes».

The third place in the nomination «Practice-oriented training of students» was won by the Department of Germanic Philology lecturer Olena Nazarenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department Antonina Chepeliuk, and master student Alina Liuta for the project «Practice-oriented teaching of foreign languages by electronic means».

In the nomination «Lifelong Education, Postgraduate Education and Advanced Training», representatives of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, won two awarding places at once: diploma of the first degree got Professor of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies Andrii Lebid for the project «The use of cooperative strategy in the genre of social simulation for the development of general (universal) competencies in the system of formal and informal education», the third place was taken by the project «Short-term advanced training course on the methodology of teaching Ukrainian as a foreign language», which was offered by Associate Professor of the Department of Language Training of Foreign Citizens Larysa Bidenko, Senior Lecturer of the Department Yevheniia Burnos and lecturer Nataliia Pylypenko-Fritsak. 

In the nomination «Educational Media Product», the second place was taken by the assistants of the Foreign Languages Department, Daria Medvedovska and Yuliia Skarlupina, and Associate Professor Larysa Otroshchenko with the project «Integration of the TikTok in the educational process while teaching English».

The purpose of the contest «SumDU Pedagogical Innovations-2022» is to stimulate the pedagogical and scientific-pedagogical staff of the university to create new and spread modern forms and methods of teaching to provide a high level of quality education, the realization of the best practices in the organization of educational activities on all levels of education.

In general, 25 projects from authors' collectives and individuals were submitted for consideration by the contest commission in 2022. The total number of participants was 45 people from 17 departments of all institutes and faculties of the university.

The Faculty FPSC, SumDU, congratulates its innovators on deserved victories and wishes them further creative development and inspiration.
