Lecturer of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens Nataliia Pylypenko-Fritsak and associate professor Alina Cherniakova held an educational event, «With Ukraine in the Heart», which was attended by foreign students — members of the «Descendants of Hippocrates» club and Ukrainian students.

The event took place on November 8, within the implementation of the international programme Erasmus+: Jean Monnet's Module on the topic «European values of intercultural dialogue in education: interdisciplinary and inclusive approaches» (EUROVALID) and within the project «National-value and patriotic education of the personality in the process of language training in the system of international university education in martial law (online)».

Due to the full-scale Russian invasion of our land, most foreign students were forced to leave the city and Ukraine — the country that became their second home, according to the students themselves. The students joined the preparation of the presentation «With Ukraine in the Heart» with great enthusiasm:

— It is very painful to see how my native Ukraine, where I have spent the best years of my student life, suffers from this vile and cruel war, — said Syed Mubaasher Irfan, a 6th-year student.

Groupmates share the girl's feelings.

Ukraine has become our second Motherland — emphasized a student of the Medical Institute Shubkham Kumar — that's why all the troubles and hardships respond with pain in our hearts. Today citizens of different countries support Ukrainians fighting for their freedom in brutal battles. I believe we are also patriots because we love Ukraine and try to support it in word and deed.

Shubkham Dzhanhyd expressed gratitude to his native University and all lecturers and said:

— Sumy State University is one of the symbols of Ukraine for me. Unity within the walls of the University helped me grow emotionally as a person and helped me comprehend precious things for each person.

Sophomore students Havisiddappa Karibasamma Haanashree, Duppala Sai Pritam, and Sain Dzhatin presented their reports about Ukraine's state and national symbols and prepared interesting quiz questions. Syed Mubaashera Irfan represented her poem «Symbols of Ukraine». Ukrainian students and students of gr. MTs.m-814 Aishwariia, Andzhali Saini, and Abdul Ravuf joined the preparation of information about the heroic present of the Ukrainian people.

#the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy is grateful to foreign students who support Ukraine and our University in difficult times of war! We hope that we will all be able to meet in the walls of Sumy State University in a peaceful and blooming Ukraine!
