A Senior Lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology, Vice Dean for International Relations of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, Alla Krasulia, took part in the international conference "Day of Sustainability. What can we learn in a crisis situation."

The event was organized by SumDU together with German partners: the University of Applied Sciences (Münster) and Gottfried Wilhelm Leibniz University (Hanover) for higher education managers.

Representatives of Ukrainian and foreign higher education institutions took part in the conference. They shared their experience, capability, and achievements, discussed new areas of work, and during the Bar Camp interactive sessions, they had the opportunity to work independently on the programme topic.

Having survived such global crises as the COVID-19 pandemic or the war in Ukraine, higher education institutions are facing new challenges, and new aspects have become part of higher education management. In this context, the meaning of the topic of sustainability has become crucial. What does sustainability mean in the context of higher education? What does this mean for higher education management? What can we learn from recent crises? These and similar issues were considered during the "Resilience Day" held as part of the FH Münster project "THEA Ukraine X" (Multiplication training for higher education administrators in Ukraine).

- I believe that the discussion, implementation, and development of mechanisms of sustainability in the management of a higher education institution is an essential factor in the successful implementation of international cooperation, in particular in the conditions of the coronavirus disease pandemic from 2019 and martial law from February 2022, Alla Krasulia emphasized.

The event opened up prospects for further cooperation between SumDU and, in particular, the Faculty FPSC with German and Ukrainian partners on preparing joint grant projects within the framework of robust international programmes financed by Germany and the EU.
