The Faculty FPSC of SumDU is actively implementing various programmes for international academic mobility, both full-time and virtual, an excellent opportunity for our students and lecturers to gain new knowledge and international experience, make exciting acquaintances, and discover new possibilities for themselves.

Recently, with assistance from the student government of the Faculty FPSC and with support from Alla Krasulia, the Vice Dean for International Relations, a meeting dedicated to current academic mobility programmes and opportunities for students was conducted at the Faculty.

Anzhelika Kalchenko, a representative of the Student Agency for academic mobility of SumDU, spoke at the meeting about the essence and principles of academic mobility at Sumy State University and shared details on current scholarship offers from partner universities.

Karyna Vedmydera, a student at the department of Germanic Philology currently studying under an academic mobility programme at the University of Tartu, Estonia, shared her own experience in the academic mobility programme. She spoke about the first weeks of studies and the challenges and benefits of studying abroad, particularly under the mobility programmes.

The guests at the meeting had an opportunity to ask questions and get comprehensive answers from the organisers.

– International academic mobility programmes allow students to study, work on probation, or conduct scientific activities in another higher education institution or scientific establishment. By gaining experience abroad, students develop professional qualities and nurture particular soft skills. Ukraine will need highly accomplished specialists for restoration and reconstruction in post-war times. Therefore, the participation of students in these programmes lays the groundwork for the continued integration of our country into the international research and educational sphere and is its share in our collective victory, as pointed out by the deputy dean for international activities, Alla Krasulia.
