Students of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU attended the workshop "How to make a cringy commercial? Ten anti-advice" from the famous Ukrainian advertiser Illia Yankovskii, creative director of "Havas Village Ukraine" and creative director of "DreamApp" (Great Britain).

The workshop took place on September 22 online; it lasted two hours and did not leave 100 participants who connected via Zoom indifferent. The event was organized as part of the programme of workshops of the 17th Ukrainian Student Festival of Advertising (USFA). The moderator was the chairman of the Union of Advertisers of Ukraine, doctor of science in state administration, professor, author of textbooks on advertising and marketing communications, and coordinator of the 17th USFA Yevhen Romat. 

The participants of the event shared their impressions: 

- In general, I am majoring in psychology, but I attend optional disciplines related to the creation of advertising. Thanks to Mr. Illia, I understood the importance of the portfolio for the future job search and development of my abilities, - said Valeriia Shkrud, a student of the group PL-91. 

- I must say workshops are generally an incredibly fantastic opportunity for self-development. I really liked the speaker's approach to the presentation: a story through anti-advice. Although most of the information presented during the workshop was familiar to me, I still found the event worthwhile. Advertising is a creative industry and needs constant reminders of how to make this creativity. So, I got great pleasure, - said Liana Okhrymenko, a student of the group ZhT-92(rk). 

Yaroslav Yanenko, assistant professor of the department of journalism and philology of the Faculty FPSC, shared his thoughts on the workshop: 

- Workshops from marketing practitioners are very valuable for lecturers because they allow you to be inspired by the creative experience of famous advertisers and use the acquired knowledge when preparing lectures and practical classes. Illia Yankovskii worked in international advertising agencies, in particular in "Leo Burnett Ukraine" and "BBDO Ukraine", made commercials for such brands as "Pepsi", "Toyota", "Snickers" and others, and was the winner of the most famous international advertising festival "Cannes lions" (to make it clearer - this is an "Oscar" for professional promoters), so his advice for students is precious. 

The students of the Faculty FPSC are incredibly grateful for such an inspiring meeting because it is always exciting and valuable to communicate with practitioners of their profession who can share the real secrets of mastery.
