A group of researchers of SumDU, including representatives of the Faculty FPSC, received an official confirmation letter on membership in the European Association of Communication Professionals in Higher Education (EUPRIO).

EUPRIO's goal is to bring together higher education stakeholders, namely university representatives working on local and international strategic communication in the areas of public relations, press services, academic communication, public diplomacy and external relations, international relations, marketing, digital communication, independent counseling, internal communication in higher education institutions, European studies, etc.

Among the members of the group were Olesia Yehorova, associate professor of the Department of Germanic Philology; Alla Yarova, associate professor of the Department of Journalism and PhilologyAnna Marchenko, associate professor of the Faculty of Electronics and Information Technologies; as well as Alla Krasulia, senior lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology, who headed the group.

"Since the question was of institutional membership rather than an individual one, a team of 4 people from SumDU, whose major and field of research are close to the areas represented in the organization, was required. Fluency in English was also a mandatory criterion. We passed the selection among the Ukrainian universities, and by a vote of the EUPRIO board members, we received the membership for 2022 free of charge", said Alla Krasulia.

Currently, the organization is focusing on building a partnership with Ukrainian HEIs. EUPRIO membership allows access to information resources of the association, expands the network of professional contacts for the implementation of research projects, helps to enhance academic mobility and participation of the university in educational and scientific events, and can also help boost the recognition of SumDU in the international arena, in particular – during the martial law period.

The Faculty FPSC of SumDU keeps evolving, expanding international relations, and working to improve the quality of its studying offers. High-quality education is our front line.
