The solemn awarding of diplomas to bachelor graduates of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU was held on July 6. This year, 50 graduates of full-time, part-time, distance and parallel forms of education received diplomas, 6 of them received diplomas with honors.
This graduation was special for the department because lecturers and students had very little time to spend together offline due to the quarantine and the war in Ukraine. And yet, during their studies, our students managed to grow up, gain knowledge, practical experience, and become a worthy replenishment to the cohort of journalists and advertisers.
The dean of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, Olena Sushkova, read out the order on expulsion because of the graduation. She wished the graduated bachelors to stick together, preserve the student friendship that was born within the walls of SumDU, as well as to realize themselves in the profession.
– Victory to all of us and victory to each of you, – emphasized Olena Sushkova.
Nataliia Bratushka, the director of the "Vidikon" TV channel awarded journalists and advertisers with bachelor’s diplomas:
– Despite all the challenges that life gives you, you should believe in yourself, be confident in your own abilities, and be winners! We have no doubt in Ukraine’s victory! – the guest said.
The event took place in a warm, relaxed atmosphere - they looked at photos, recalled interesting moments from student life, exchanged impressions, laughed and cried. And although these four years were tough, attendants had lots of things to remember.
At the end of the event, students played an improvised skit in which they tried on the roles of lecturers and presented the meeting of the department from their point of view. The students found kind words for each of the mentors, thanked them for their knowledge, practical experience, wise advice and patience.
