On May 10, a video meeting with the translator and lecturer of Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), member of the Board of the European Language Industry Association, Indrė Lelevičienė, took place on the basis of the students’ club of linguistic and cultural studies “Travel Office”of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU.

During the meeting, the speaker told more than 70 participants of the video conference on how to create their own brand and how to present themselves in the labor market. The event was organized by the lecturer of the Department of Germanic Philology Olena Nazarenko and the senior lecturer of the same department Alla Krasulia.

– It was an incredible experience. The 30-minute presentation changed my perception of the field of translation in general. I never even thought that a personal brand is so necessary for successful employment in this field. Ms. Indrė gladly told us about ways to build a personal brand, diversifying her presentation with stories from her own life. It was informative and absorbing!  - shared her impressions, a second-year student of the Department of Germanic Philology of SumDU, Alina Maliuk.

 – Meeting with a professional of such a high level helped to distract from all the negativity around and inspired to work productively for a bright future. I heard a lot of valuable advice on creating a CV and finding a job. The lecturer answered our questions quite thoroughly, which greatly emphasized her professionalism in the field. The conference really gave a lot of new knowledge,- says a second-year student of the Department of Germanic Philology of SumDU, Anastasiia Serysheva.

 In turn, Head of the Department of Germanic Philology Iryna Kobyakova expresses her sincere gratitude to Indrė Lelevičienė for her time and valuable advice, which is so necessary for the development of lecturers and students of our department and also noted that she hoped for fruitful professional cooperation with our new partners and stakeholders. We are waiting for a visit in peacetime!
