On the 22-25 of October the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communications of Sumy State University for the ninth time held events dedicated to the Advertising Manager’s Day. Students, lecturers, staff and employers took part in the events.

In particular there was a public defense of creative projects of 4-th year students according to the educational program «Advertising and public relations» Their works were evaluated by one of the most famous advertising managers in Sumy, the founder and the head of an advertising agency «RG Region» Volodymyr Rudyka. His future co-workers and competitors presented developments of visual communications for new products, graphical logo design, mascots and other commercial products.

In addition, thematic nominations of this year VI Youth Advertising Festival “The Eighth Colour-2019” were announced to students:

«MediaStartup» (contest of student`s start ups in advertising, media and creative industry fields. It can be, in particular, student`s mass media, podcast, YouTube channel, advertising or PR agency, publishing project etc.);

«We are proud to be SumDU students!» (contest of graphical models of creative souvenir and award products for SumDU: diplomas, certificates and also a project of visualizing university exhibition stand.)

Exactly on the Advertising Manager’s Day on  October, 23 the channel «Ukrainian Radio: Sumy» broadcasted a program «From the Primary Source» by Oleksandr Baburov in which lecturers and students of the educational program «Advertising and public relations» of the Department of Journalism and Philology of Faculty of Foreign Philology and Social Communication of SumDU took part. The current problems of modern Ukrainian advertising were discussed there.
