It is very nice that we can receive Ukrainian and international experts, to create a platform for discussing important issues of resilience and security, managing social conflicts, and forming a national identity.

The university pays much attention to information security; in particular, training is in progress in the specialties of “Cybersecurity”, “Journalism,” and “Ecology”, the Department of Military Training is also functioning. With the support of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine has been established Research Centre for Regional Security of SumDU.

During the seminar, panel discussions were devoted to the issues of transformative effects of international cooperation, managing social vulnerabilities amid hybrid threats, measuring resilience characteristics at the national, public, and personal levels, other vital aspects of national resilience. They also touched on the problem of media literacy and manipulative influences.

On May 20th, the participants of the seminar: Vineta Kleine, the Director of the NATO Information and Documentation Centre in Ukraine, and Svitlana Rotaienko, the Project Manager of the Center, visited the main campus of SumDU.  The Head of the Coordination Center for Humanitarian Policy, the Head of the Department of Psychology, Political Science, and Socio-Cultural Technologies Nina Svitailo, and Mykola Nazarov, the Head of Research Center for Regional Security of SumDU, also attended the meeting.
