Lecturers of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU took part in organizing and conducting the II (regional) stage of the All-Ukrainian competition-defense of students’ research works - members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The competition was held on March 23rd – 26th. The participants of the event amount about 235 pupils, 131 of whom won in different sections. Our lecturers were evaluating them, giving practical advice, scientific advice, and loading them with positive energy.

Thus, in the section «Philosophy. Sociology. Religious studies» students’ work was assessed by the representatives of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technology: Doctor of political science, associate professor Andriana Kostenko, Ph.D. in Pedagogy, associate professor Oleh Tuliakov, the chairman of the committee - Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Andrii Lebid.

The jury for the section "The German language" included PhD in Philology, associate professor of the Department of Germanic philology Larysa Shchyhlo.

Representatives of the Department of Journalism and Philology evaluated the works in several humanitarian areas. Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Iryna Zhylenko was a member of the competition committee of the "Foreign Literature" section. Doctor of Philology, Associate Professor Hanna Kalantaievska became a member of the competition committee of the section "Ukrainian Literature". Vasyl Chubur, senior lecturer and editor of the newspaper «Resonance», judged the works of the participants in the section "Creative writing. Folklore". PhD in Social Communications, Associate Professor Tetiana Kovalova and the chairman of the committee - Doctor of Social Communications, Associate Professor Volodymyr Sadivnychyi worked with the future journalists and experts in the field.

Jury members appreciated the level of the submitted works and noted that the participants chose difficult topics, but presented them easily and understandably.

- I love the activity and creativity of all contest participants, - said Tetiana Kovalova.

Addressing the members of the Small Academy of Sciences of Ukraine Andrii Lebid said:

- Your works are relevant, interesting and significant for our city as well as for the country. Be superheroes for Ukrainian and world science, because science is not only interesting but also useful.

Faculty FPSC of SumDU congratulates young researchers on the successful defense of their scientific works and hopes to see them soon among our students.
