How to become a student of the faculty FPSC? What are the conditions for admission to various specialties? How many state-funded places and what is the passing grade? Applicants for 2021 received answers for these and many other questions during the meeting with the representatives of the faculty FPSC of SumDU as a part of the open day.

Olena Sushkova, the dean of the faculty FPSC, spoke about peculiarities of the faculty, specialities, material and technical base, lecturers, principles of teaching, etc. She noted that right now applicants are facing one of the most important choices of their lives – the future specialty and place of studying, and she wished them to make the right step that will help with self-realization in the future.

Inna Sypchenko, Executive secretary of the Admission Board of the faculty, introduced the conditions of admission to applicants. She paid special attention to determining the priority in the electronic application of the applicant:

– Before making the final decision, you should visit universities and find out whether you want to study in one or another higher education institution, and apply only for those specialties where you can really see your future.

The applicant Anastasiia plans to connect her life with journalism. The girl is graduating from Machine-Building College of SumDU this year. She says that most of her classmates plan to enter the faculty FPSC. One of the defining criteria for Anastasiia’s choice is the position of SumDU in the rankings, she considers it as the quality factor. Teaching staff of the faculty is no less important:

 – I am sure that the most experienced and qualified lecturers work here, who will be able to teach the profession.

During the meeting, the applicants and their parents had the opportunity to speak with the lecturers and the students of graduating departments and see where exactly the studying takes place. In particular, we visited the classrooms of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies, laboratory room of the Department of Germanic Philology, TV and radio studios of the Department of Journalism and Philology.

Such meetings, earnest at the faculty FPSC, are extremely useful for applicants as they help to assess the future place of study “from the inside” and feel its atmosphere.
