Completion of education and the beginning of a new stage of life, pride and satisfaction, expectations and excitements. It means that the graduates at the Faculty FPSC of SumDU get diplomas.

In 2020 47 graduates at the Faculty FPSC of SumDU got Master’s degrees. These are the specialties “Philology” and “Journalism”. 10 of them are honours diplomas.

The graduation of this year is really specific: for the first time the masters defended their thesises in remote and mixed formats, the last time the graduates are awarded honours diplomas. Nevertheless, unusual conditions and innovations are not a reason to get upset or scared, because the world is constantly changing and life likes to present us with surprises.

Although the graduates don’t get diplomas in the solemn hall today, and greetings and wishes are sounded only online, masters still have something to say to their home faculty.

— I love SumDU and  the Faculty FPSC, and it’s mutual! - Yuliia Lazutkina, a graduate of the “Philology” specialty, shares her emotions. - I am unlimitedly thankful to my university for the cool lecturers, for the friends I’ve met here, for the many interesting things I’ve learned about, and for the fact that my alma mater was really here!

— I am very grateful to the faculty for the good education, - says Bohdan Vlasenko, a graduate of the “Journalism” specialty. – The years of study were intense, and the most important is that it was interesting and useful. I feel that I will miss students’ routine.

Heads of graduating departments congratulated the graduates on getting their diplomas and starting a new stage in their lives:

— Today a new page has already been turned, - says the head of the Department of Germanic Philology, Professor Iryna Kobyakova. - We know that you will fill it without mistakes, as the lecturers have taught. My colleagues and I sincerely hope that you will remember our advices and the feeling of confidence in your skills, and employers will fully appreciate your work! Those who want to continue their studies are invited to postgraduate education! Respect and be respected, dear graduates of 2020!

— Thank you for choosing us, - the head of the Department of Journalism and Philology, Professor Olena Tkachenko addresses former students. – A great adult life is ahead and there will be both satisfactions and hardships. So, I wish you to meet all the challenges with dignity, but the main things are to believe, work and dream.
