The students of the faculty FPSC Daiana Tarasiuk and Sofiia Malus (specialty “Psychology”) have got two victories in the “The Best SumDU student” contest categories.

The fourth year student Daiana Tarasiuk became the winner of the “Trade union figure” category. The girl has been actively involved in trade and public activities since the first year.

She has been taking part in organization and implementation of the regional stage of professional and personal development program “Country creator” since 2019. She became the leader of widespread organisational work among the public of SumDU trade union students last year.  She has been performing duties of FPSC trade bureau leader since this year.

– Participating in the contest was a total surprise. Firstly, I was informed that I had been chosen as a candidate for voting in the "Public figure" category. The very next day I found out that I was in the "Trade union figure" category. I wondered if I could possibly win since our university is full of active and purposeful people, –  Daiana says. – When I was informed about my victory I was absolutely happy. Now I feel desire to devote even more time to the development of the trade union bureau and trade union. We have a great team without which this victory would not have happened.

The winner in the "public figure" category is the third year student, student vice-rector of cultural and mass activities Sofiia Malus. In addition to the development of Student Self-Government of SumDU, the girl actively participates in various youth initiatives aimed at the development of the local community, including the initiative of the Youth Leisure Center, the project of the All-Ukrainian foundation "From heart to heart". In addition, Sofiia is the coordinator of the All – Ukrainian campaign in support of the legalization of Medical Cannabis "Freedom March 2020" in Sumy.

– I decided to take part in the contest on the spur of the moment. I wasn’t prepared, just wanted to see what I can do. To be honest, I didn’t expect to win. My victory is a motivation to move forward and bring progressive changes with the active youth, – says Sofiia.

Anna Zinchenko, Vice Dean of the educational work of the faculty FPSC shared her impressions on the results of the competition:

– I find it incredibly pleasant that such talented young people are studying at our faculty and give the opportunity to present it with dignity at the city level. It is worth noting that both students received the full support of the commission during the voting, that’s awesome. I would like to thank the girls and wish them great luck on their chosen paths.

The competition of “The Best Student” exists not only to reward active students, but also to shape and support the values of modern youth. The girls have won at the university level. The regional and all-Ukrainian stages of the competition are ahead.

#the_best_faculty_in_the_Galaxy congratulates its best students on their victory and wishes them to maintain the same activity and energy in their further personal and professional development.
