Representatives of the faculty FPSC of SumDU conducted an English-language seminar "Changing the emphasis of security in the modern world." The event took place on October 7th at the Congress Center of SumDU.

 The seminar was initiated by the Research Centre for Regional Security Studies, in cooperation with the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Sociocultural Technologies of SumDU, the Institute of History, Law and International Relations of Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A. S. Makarenko and the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

Together with the US military expert Ken Reikers and Oleksandr Potekhin Professor of NASU, the students discussed the impact of the pandemic on social and economic security, the US election, NATO's role in today's crisis world, and Ukraine-US relations.

The moderator of the seminar, Mykola Nazarov, PhD in Political Science, said:

- Today in the world there are powerful transformations caused by political, economic and epidemiological factors. These changes affect both the humanity and individual states.

During the discussion, students presented their own vision of current world processes and discussed them with the speakers of the event.
