Faculty FPSC of SumDU celebrates one of the brightest and most anticipated holidays of autumn, a day when we express our gratitude and congratulations to professors and associate professors, lecturers and assistants, senior assistants of the dean's office and departments - that is, to all those who help, prompt, inspire, and even push students.

The most experienced educators of the faculty FPSC of SumDU shared their brief memories about the years of work at the university, and congratulated students and staff and their fellow lecturers on the holiday.

Academician of the Higher School Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, Doctor of Philology, Professor of the Department of Germanic Philology Svitlana Oleksiivna SHVACHKO has been working in the field of education for 60 years:

- I love my job, although it is not easy. I love and understand students too, at least I try. The work of a translator is not easy, so you need to improve yourself a lot. First of all, I wish my colleagues good health on Educator's day, as it is very needed now, respect from students, as well as enjoyment from work.

Doctor of Philosophy, Professor of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Socio-Cultural Technologies Olena Yukhymivna SHCHERBYNA-YAKOVLEVA immersed herself in the memories of her professional path:

- My pedagogical work began 46 years ago in the city of Almaty (Kazakhstan). I worked at SSPU, later at the Ukrainian Academy of Banking, and I have started working at SumDU since 2015. I love my students and I believe that the student must understand the lecturer in order to succeed. On Educator's day, I wish my colleagues good health and always take care of themselves. There will be health, there will be everything else.

PhD in Philology, Associate Professor of the Department of Language Training for Foreign Citizens Olha Mykolaivna VOLKOVA has been working in the field of education for 45 years, thirteen of them at SumDU:

- I will never forget my first graduation of journalists. I taught my favorite students Russian and Ukrainian. On graduation day, all the lecturers were given medals with different titles: "For high professionalism", "For patriotism", and me - "For the beauty of the mind". The most valuable reward of a lifetime. I wish every lecturer to enjoy this work as much as I do.

Associate Professor of Foreign Languages Department Halyna Ivanivna Lytvynenko began her professional path when our university was still Sumy branch of KPI, and devoted her entire life to work here:

- I wish I had to teach, but I lacked a high school lecturer diploma, so I went to Moscow Institute of Foreign Languages, where I took a two-year training course. I was the deputy dean, head of the department, now - associate professor. Twice internships in the United States, participated in grant programs… It is very nice when people greet me and remind that they were once my students. I wish good health to my colleagues and students.

Senior lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology Antonina Dmytrivna CHEPELIUK immersed herself in reflections on the role that educators play in human life:

- Having many years of experience in the field of education, I can say with certainty that what a child receives in the family, school, university – is the thing he will pass on. Those who found themselves in life had wonderful teachers. I am very gratitude to my parents, teachers and lecturers, who shared a great deal of love for educational activities. I wish all educators love for pupils, students and, of course, for their work.

The writer and journalist, senior lecturer of the Department of Journalism and Philology Vasyl Vasylovych CHUBUR talks about the time of work at the university with a smile. There are many disciplines in his treasury of educating: the theory of work, the theory of mass communication, the theory of literature, media criticism, media security and more. In general, he has been working in the field of education for about 20 years. Recalling the classes, he admits that each meeting with students is always interesting:

- First of all, I wish my colleagues to have good students who are able to understand, perceive, and demonstrate good knowledge. And, of course, further high results in professional activity, as the faculty prepares specialists who become famous in different cities, places and spheres of Ukraine and the world.

#the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy confirms that all our lecturers are distinguished by their love for their work. And these feelings are mutual.

The dean's office, trade union bureau, student self-government bodies wish all faculty members, all employees of the field inexhaustible energy, creative inspiration and new achievements in a difficult but necessary occupation. HAPPY HOLIDAY!
