All-Ukrainian contest of professional music art "Magic pitchfork" has been held for many years. The event is attended by professional musicians and students of musical institutions. Our students of #the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy have also demonstrated their vocal talents at the Ukrainian level this year. The events took place on February22-23, 2020 in Dnipro.

The students of SumDU choir of the modern song, which included representatives of the Faculty of Music, Mykhaylo Varfolomieiev, Valentyna Nemesh, Anastasiia Yurkova and Anna Naumenko, received the title of laureate of the 1st degree, performing the songs "In the pure field" by Mariia Yaremchuk and "Rise like a phoenix" by Conchita Wurst.

- This is my second participation in the competition, - shares impressions Mykhaylo Varfolomieiev - the first was last spring in Kyiv. Of course, it was unforgettable weekend: emotions overflowed both on stage and backstage. Everyone put lots of efforts, which was crowned with the victory of the whole team. I am extremely happy for our successes and very grateful to our head Olha Bondarenko for her work and such great experience.

Mykhaylo Varfolomieiev also received the title of laureate of the 1st degree in the duо together with Mykhaylo Melnyk (NNI Law) at the contest "Magic pitchfork". Success to the boys was brought by the songs "Lost Words" by Pavlo Tabakov and "Heaven" by Valerii Meladze.

But the duo was not limited by one victory. The boys also became the winners of the 1st degree at the international festival-competition "TriumphFest", which took place on the February 23 in Dnipro.

The Faculty FPSC congratulates its talented students on the victories and wishes them further development and conquering new heights.
