On 13-15 December, first-year journalists from the Faculty FPSC, SumDU,  visited the capital to take part in a three-day Fact Checkers School organised by the Institute for Regional Press Development. The girls told about their new knowledge, their own projects and the highlights of their studies.

On the first day, the participants met journalists from various organisations and publications, learned about tools and algorithms for analysing facts, and conducted their own news checks. The next day, they discussed the threats of the information field and ways to counter them. Finally, they created their own projects based on fact-checking.

- It was a very useful experience, as we gained a lot of practical knowledge and made new friends. What I liked most about being a fact-checker was being a fact-checker myself: analysing my own information bubble, creating a project together with my colleagues. I tried myself in a new direction and received a dose of inspiration and ideas that I will definitely implement," journalism student Yuliia KOLODYCH shared her impressions.

Sofiia KOSTENKO, head of the freshman group, also spoke about her experience of participating in the School:

- Attending the Fact Checkers School was one of my best decisions. The classes opened, so to speak, the "curtain" of investigative journalism, and clearly demonstrated how to start fact-checking and investigative activities. I have gained a lot of new knowledge and skills and established horizontal connections with colleagues from other regions. I am confident that this will come in handy in the future.

Students of the #the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy are constantly developing and looking for new ways to improve their professional skills and gain new knowledge.
