Olena Ovsianko, a senior lecturer at the Department of Germanic Philology of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU, attended the Day of Science and Innovation organized by the Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems (Tübingen, Germany).
The guests of the event had the opportunity to get acquainted with the institute's areas of activity and visit laboratories, departments, and centres In particular, demonstrations in robotics laboratories and a room with a 4D body scanner were shown.
The Max Planck Institute for Intelligent Systems aims to research and understand the principles of organization of intelligent systems and the perception-action-learning cycle underlying them. The Institute also includes research groups investigating the interaction between humans and artificial systems (such as robots), machine learning, and algorithmic decision-making in social contexts, as well as models of social and economic interaction.
The event visitors received informative brochures and periodicals from the Institute. The experience gained from organizing the Day of Science and Innovation will help plan scientific events at the Faculty FPSC of SumDU.
