On the 7th of November, the Travel Office hosted an exciting online event led by Olena Nazarenko, a lecturer from the Department of Germanic Philology. Oleksandra Derkach, a 4th-year Philology student, shared her experiences of studying in the Czech Republic with 1st and 2nd-year students majoring in Philology and their mentor Iryna Tkachenko.

In her speech, Oleksandra emphasized the attractiveness of student life in Czech, from leisure activities to the unique rhythm of study. Beyond that, Oleksandra provided practical insights into the essential aspects of studying abroad, emphasizing that it's more than just academic work, but also a doorway to invaluable emotions and experiences, opportunities, and acquaintances with people of other nationalities; she painted a vivid picture of life in the Czech Republic, where students didn't just attend classes; they reveled in a myriad of activities and parties (and sometimes, they even found themselves in the company of their professors in cozy pubs).

Oleksandra explained how different studying and teaching styles in the Czech Republic compared to her Ukrainian university. She also delved into the financial aspects of the program, which are, of course, crucial for applying. She encouraged us students to seize the opportunity, assuring us that the experience would be significant, the time spent an enriching journey, and the memories truly unforgettable.

Our Travel Office is looking forward to a new meeting. We will be glad to see everyone who wants to discover the world with us!
