On June 18, at Sumy State University, the All-Ukrainian festival-competition of choreography "TendentsiIA" took place. The winner in the category of "Contemporary Dance" was Daria Nahorna, a second-year student of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, (majoring in "Philology").

A variety of choreographic styles, which formed the basis for the active self-expression of the participants, were demonstrated at the event. Such dance styles as classical, folk, street, stylised, etc. were presented in the festival-competition.

Daria Nahorna performed contemporary dance. She notes:

– I have spoken to the judges about my performance. I heard about the advantages of my performance and about some weak points which I will correct as soon as possible.

This wasn't the first time the student winner took part in a dance competition. However, it was a kind of debut in a solo performance.

The winner shared her impressions:

– It was good experience to test my own skills. I tried to put my worries aside and do my best because I was representing not only myself but also my university, the dance team and the director, Svitlana Bondarenko.

#the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy congratulates Daria and wishes her success and inspiration in her future work!
