Anna Shpurik, a third-year student majoring in “Journalism” at the Faculty FPSC of SumDU, participated in the “Military Hub Of Media Mobility” internship programme for journalism students.

The programme was implemented by Souspilnist Foundation and NGO “Internews Ukraine”, with the assistance of the Internet edition “Detector Media”. The organizers selected 20 participants from Lviv, Odesa, Sumy, Kyiv, Chernivtsi, and Kharkiv to join in.

The Hub programme included a two-week internship in leading editorial offices in Kyiv, in particular, participants worked at Suspilne, Liga.net, Hromadske Radio, Forbes Ukraine, Radio Kultura, Hromadske TV, Detector Media, Ukraїner, TRK “Kyiv”, etc.

The participants also attended training from leading Ukrainian journalists and cultural figures and went on excursions to the editorial office of TRK “Kyiv” and the office of the Serhiy Prytula Charity Foundation. Media analyst of Souspilnist Foundation, presenter of Radio NV Dmytro Tuzov, media law expert Ihor Rozkladai, director, member of the European Film Academy Marysia Nikitiuk, and others conducted training for partakers of the Hub programme. At the training, experts talked about the work of a military journalist, methods of counteracting Russian fakes and disinformation, features of Media Law, mental support for media workers, etc.

Anna Shpurik, within the Military Hub of Media Mobility, completed an internship at Ukraїner media and “NZL” from The Ukrainians:

-Two weeks of internship in editorial offices in Kyiv were quite a challenge for me. I felt the extremely fast rhythm of work at editorial offices, learned the peculiarities and subtleties of the profession, and talked with famous journalists and experts from the media, cultural and socio-political spheres. My internship in two editorial offices was full and productive. But with the editor of “NZL” media, we agreed to cooperate in the future, said the student.

Spring is a time for activity and new knowledge, and students of #the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy use it in the best possible way.
