Andriana Kostenko, head of the Center for Social Research, associate professor of the Department of Psychology, Political Science and Sociocultural Technologies of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU, joined the interdisciplinary team of specialists who will monitor the mental health of Ukrainians.

Together with scientists of SumDU, representatives of Swiss universities (The Collegium Helveticum, The Epidemiology, Biostatistics and Prevention Institute, University of Zurich) will be engaged in monitoring mental health in Ukraine.

On March 31, in the city of Zurich (Switzerland), the international seminar "Epidural surveillance of mental health in Ukraine is an important basis for the mental health of the population" was held. During the meeting, a team of scientists developed a tool for monitoring the mental health of Ukrainians living in various regions of the country and abroad. They also developed a research methodology and outlined further work plans.

Future monitoring should assess the prevalence of post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, and anxiety, as well as the impact of war's social and economic consequences on mental health.
