Students of the Department of Journalism and Philology of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, filmed a social video dedicated to Taras Shevchenko's work. This project was created as part of the "I and Kobzar" contest held by the Youth Policy Department of the Sumy City Council.

The contest's purpose is national and patriotic education of Sumy dwellers, popularization of Taras Shevchenko's works, and identification of the community's artistic, creative, and poetic youth. The contest has been held for the third time now. This year, the event's participants were 110 school and university students who prepared 98 videos. The ceremony of summarizing the results and awarding the winners traditionally occurred on March 9.

The artistic team of students of the Department of Journalism and Philology presented a creative video in which, on the background of the present-day realities, one could hear the timeless lines of the Great Kobzar's poetry, which are still relevant nowadays, prophetic for Ukraine, and most importantly, full of hope for the triumphant future of our country.

The video was filmed in the educational television studio of StudTV "11th Floor". Third-year student Myroslav Derevyanko edited it. Associate Professor of the Department Inna Havryliuk and the head of the educational TV studio Raisa Stoian helped the students along.

- "I gladly agreed to participate in the competition because I truly admire the Great Kobzar's work and see the strength and bravery of the Ukrainian people in his lines," said Arina Stolbtsova, a project participant. "I was pleasantly surprised by the number of participants as this year it was a record number. It's lovely that young people are interested in the work of famous personalities and are happy to participate in such important events. In my opinion, our video was successful and, most importantly, sincere. Seeing our video on politicians, lecturers, friends, and acquaintances pages is a real pleasure."

- "This is an incredible experience! Considering that due to the pandemic and then the war, there was hardly any opportunity to use the TV studio and join the production process. And then there is participation in the contest, Shevchenko, and a reason to show the skills acquired during the study!" student Zakhar Yuvko shared his impressions of working on the project.

- "Students from different courses were involved in creating the video, creating a rather interesting team. We were noted for our group work and originality at the award ceremony. I got the best impressions from work since any possibility of visiting my native Department and feeling like a part of the team echoes in my soul," said first-year student Daryna Ruban.

For their project, the creative team of students from #the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy received gratitude from the Youth Policy Department of the Sumy City Council.
