The student of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU Diana Nestorenko (specialty "Philology") has been awarded a scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the 2019/2020 academic year.

Diana is 20 years old and she studies at the Department of Germanic Philology. At the same time he studies “finance and entrepreneurship”. She has time to combine family life with two higher education degrees. As the student says: "I solve the tasks of unloading my brain from translation problems: choosing words, designing the source text and all this infinite rep tape with the dictionary."

4 years of studying in two specialties, life surprises, relationships with teachers and plans for the future -  this is what Diana has told about during our meeting.

- At school I wanted to become a flight attendant, so I wanted to learn English and, of course, other languages. And then, before entering the university, I read Karl Marx's «Capital» in summer and decided to study finance. I want to say that I am really keen on philology. At school I participated in the Olympiads, knew Ukrainian well. Therefore, I decided not to study Ukrainian professionally, but Germanic languages are my cup of tea, I think. Moreover, translation work is prestigious. And Finance is a hobby for me.

For four years I am studying in two specialties, receiving only "excellent" - in fact, for which exactly I was awarded a scholarship. Frankly speaking, "A's" are very difficult to get. However, the habit of being an excellent student was formed at school, so during the first year I did not even imagine that I could afford doing anything else. Yes, I did not participate in "Golden Integral" and never went to the disco. I cannot say that I regret it. This the lifestyle is familiar to me.

Of course, fate made its adjustments. I got married, and when I was a sophomore I figured out that I was pregnant. It is ridiculous to recall now that I was queuing for endless tests and simultaneously learning German or doing English exercises. And how could it be otherwise? The little son did not let down either - he was born two days after the summer session closed.

The third year was quite difficult for me. The whole family had to learn. But my some kind of maternity leave helped to identify true friends, to whom there is a special "thank you"! And thanks for an individual schedule at the university.

Fortunately, there are no problems with teachers. First, I have an individual schedule, respectively, individually selected tasks. Secondly, I try to attend lectures, to do work in time, that is, to give 100%. The only problem is delay. It is very difficult to arrive in time. To do this, I need to persuade the kid, then dress him, pump him on all the seesaws and leave him with his grandmother, especially it is difficult when he clings my leg and yells. I try to warn the teachers about it.

In general, I never wanted to get only A’s, and I did not work for a scholarship purposely. My idea is not to become a mess. I have seen mothers who lost their common sense after the birth of a baby. I understand that the evaluation is influenced by various factors. I just try to do everything that depends on me. Moreover, how to evaluate my work, decide the teachers. I'm an ordinary student, nothing more.

I remember how happy I was to find out that I had been awarded for a scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine. Now I think how to spend it - on Christmas gifts or on the home renovation.

In the future I plan to get Master’s degree and, I think, again in two specialties. I also want to work because being home all the time is not the best option for our country.

This is how our communication was going on - the monologue of Diana Nestorenko. It is a bright example of how diligence and hard work combined with the special atmosphere at the Faculty FPSC of SumdU give a wonderful result.

The Faculty FPSC of SumDU, in turn, helps you to develop and grow professionally.

Here they are, dedicated and talented, creative and hardworking, intelligent and resourceful students who represent the #the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy!
