On the 15th of March, the winners of the poetry and literary translation contest "Alter Ego", held by the Department of Germanic Philology of the Faculty FPSC, SumDU, were awarded at the ceremony.

This year, authors – students and pupils from all over Ukraine, from Prykarpattia to Slobozhanshchyna – submitted nearly 150 works to the competition.

The jury traditionally included members of the Department of Germanic Philology and the Department of Journalism and Philology of SumDU. The head of the jury was Baranova Svitlana, Head of the Department of Germanic Philology, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor.

According to the assessment results, the jury selected winners in four nominations:

Poetry in Ukrainian:

First place – Bohdana BONDARENKO (Kyiv National Linguistic University)

Second place – Polina SERHIIENKO (Kyiv National Linguistic University)

Third place – Alina MURAL (Novoshynska gymnasium of Vyhodskoi village council)

Literary translations from English

First place – Victoriia IVASIKIV (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv ).

Second place – Olha NIKOLIUK (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv).

Second place – Daryna SHCHERBAK (Sumy State University)

Second place – Vlada DRUZD (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv)

Third place – Oleksandra MARYNYCHENKO (Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv)

Third place – Svitlana PARYBKA (The Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy)

Literary translations from German:

First place – Karyna VEDMYDERA (Sumy State University),

Second place – Daryna TIMCHENKO (Sumy State University),

Third place – Hlafira KOVAL (Sumy State University),

Poetry in the English/German languages:

First place – Sofiia KRYVOSHAPOVA (Kherson State University)

Second place – Anastasiia KOVAL (The Bohdan Khmelnytsky National University of Cherkasy)

Third place – Polina RATKINA (Zaporizhzhia National University)

The winners were awarded with diplomas.
