In the lead-up to International Students' Day, traditional award ceremonies honored students who demonstrated exceptional achievements across various fields of student activities. On November 13, the best students of the city were recognized, and on November 15, the winners of the "Best Student of SumDU 2024" competition received their awards. Among the awardees were representatives of the Faculty FPSC.

This year, university awards were given to Anzhelika KALCHENKO, a student of the specialty "Philology" (Educational Activities, Educational Projects), future journalists Anna OROPAI (Scientific Activities, Interdisciplinary Aspect) and Daryna RUBAN (Cultural and Artistic Activities, Vocal Mastery).

Anzhelika KALCHENKO was also awarded the Mayor's Award "For Active Civic and Life Position, Significant Contribution to the Development of Youth Policy of the Sumy City Territorial Community, and on the Occasion of Students' Day." Anzhelika has been actively developing her activities in the public sector for several years: during her school years, she participated in the scout organization "Plast" and later began working on creating her own NGO, "Vas Turbuie." Currently, Anzhelika is the student dean of the Faculty FPSC.

Anzhelika says:

-This is an invaluable experience and an important responsibility—to shape and influence how students experience and remember their university years. As the student dean of the Faculty FPS, I take great pride in this role, even though it can be challenging, especially in the realities of living in a border city today.

Currently, Anzhelika is also implementing a project within the UPSHIFT program. About her city-level award, she says:

- I was thrilled to have my efforts noticed and appreciated. It was even more rewarding to share the moment with fellow student activists I know. Being surrounded by familiar faces at such an event made the experience unforgettable.

#the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy celebrates its vibrant, active students and cheers them on for even more outstanding achievements ahead!
