Representatives of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU took part in the conference "First Step into Science," traditionally held by Sumy State University for first-year students and schoolchildren who want to try scientific activities. The event was held on National Science Day, May 18.

This year, the Faculty FPSC was the most active among other faculties and institutes of the university, with 98 out of 320 scientific materials submitted by representatives of the best faculty in the galaxy.

In addition to submitting materials for the conference proceedings, the participants were also active in their speeches at the sectional meeting moderated by Assistant Lecturer and Head of RASP of the Faculty FPSC, Vitalii Stepanov. Exciting presentations and active discussions demonstrated the relevance of the topics and the participants' interest.

In addition to the faculty students, the conference was attended by future applicants, for whom the "First Step into Science" is a kind of introduction to the faculty and its specialties. It is worth noting that the most significant number of applications from schoolchildren who expressed a desire to participate in the conference were also submitted under the guidance of the Faculty FPSC.

Oleksandra SKAKODUB, a student of Sumy school № 27, is participating in the conference for the second time this year with a presentation of her work at a sectional meeting. The girl plans to enter the specialty "Journalism."

"It was not difficult to prepare for the conference, and it was even interesting. I was a little nervous before the presentation, but everything went well. The other participants also did a great job; it was interesting to listen to them," says Oleksandra.

The conference participants always prove that science is fascinating, and those who confidently take the first step on this mysterious path will definitely follow it in the future.
