On May 10, the Faculty FPSC of SumDU organized a career guidance event for applicants to the master's program in 2024. During the meeting, participants had the opportunity to talk with representatives of the graduating departments, ask questions, and learn about the specifics of admission and registration for UEE/UPEE
This year, the Faculty FPSC of SumDU invites applicants to four master's specialties: "Journalism," "Philology," "Political Science," and "Psychology."
The conditions of admission, features of registration and passing UEE/UPEE, and the advantages of studying in the master's program at the Faculty FPSC were introduced to the participants by the Vice Dean for Admission Support, Antonina PROKOPENKO.
The specialty "Journalism" was presented by the Head of the Department of Journalism and Philology, Volodymyr Sadivnychyi. He emphasized that studying in the master's program in journalism also includes preparation for one of the two certificate programs: "Cyber Journalism" and "Visual Communications in Advertising and PR." This combination of training sets the journalism master's program at SumDU apart from all others.
The features of the educational programs "Organizational Psychology" and "Political Technologies and Analytics" were presented to the participants by the Head of The Department of Psychology, Political Science, and Socio-Cultural Technologies, Andriana Kostenko, and the guarantor of the educational program "Organizational Psychology," Hanna Ulunova. In particular, they reported that the master's program in psychology also provides an opportunity to study in the certificate program "Psychology of War Veterans Resocialization," which is highly relevant in modern conditions.
The Head of the Department of Germanic Philology, Svitlana Baranova, told the attendees about the features of studying in the master's program in the specialty "Philology." She emphasized the scientific component of master's training and the opportunities that education provides.
After the presentation of the educational programs, faculty representatives answered questions from the participants.
Summarizing the meeting, Vice Dean for Education Olena Bondarenko noted:
- A complete higher education today involves having a bachelor's degree and a master's. Everything in this life needs to be done on time - do not postpone studying in the master's program for "later," because continuing education immediately is much easier than returning to the student bench over time. Today, you can study for a master's degree in the same specialty in which you received a bachelor's degree or obtain another specialty. However, this may not always be the case, so do not miss the opportunity and take care of obtaining a master's degree now.
