On 2 May, one of the largest and brightest contests of the year - Miss SumDU 2024 took place at Sumy State University. Eight students of different institutes and faculties competed for the crown, including a representative of the Faculty FPSC of SumDU - first-year journalism student Kateryna BURLIUK.

Based on the jury's assessment, Kateryna was awarded the title of Second Vice Miss SumDU and received the most votes in the online voting for the title of Miss Photomodel.

Kateryna is an active and motivated student. In addition to her studies, she plays volleyball and SMM and enjoys attending trainings that help her improve her profession.

The contestant said that the idea of participating in Miss SumDU was spontaneous. But she has no regrets about her decision, although it was sometimes challenging to combine rehearsals, volleyball, studies, and work, as the preparation lasted two months. Out of all the challenges, Kateryna remembers the intellectual and improvisation competition the most as a great experience of working on stage.

– "I was very nervous on day X, but when I went on stage and heard the voices of support from the faculty and my family, I immediately realised that, despite the results of the competition, I had already won. This was not only today but also when I entered SumDU, our faculty. It was a kind of victory in a non-existent nomination called "Best Environment." The overwhelming support just touched me, and of course, I'm happy to have become part of such a large-scale event!" the girl said.

#the_best_faculty_in_the_galaxy congratulates Kateryna BURLIUK on her excellent result and wishes her further creative, professional, and personal development.
